When typhoon signal no. 8 or above is issued:
- Before consultation hours: Patients need not to come for consultation.
- During consultation hours: clinic operation will be suspended instantly. It will be at the patients’ individual discretion to decide if they wish to leave under the prevailing traffic and weather conditions.
- If the HK Observatory has officially announced (according to its official website) that the typhoon signal no. 8 or above will be issued in a few hours, all appointments scheduled in the one hour before the estimated time of issuing will be cancelled. For example, if the HK Observatory announced at 2:00 p.m. that the typhoon signal no. 8 will be issued at 5:30 p.m., all appointments scheduled at 4:30 p.m. or later will be cancelled.
- When typhoon signal no. 8 or above is cancelled during consultation hours: Under normal situation, clinics will resume service after the affected hours (three hours after the cancelling of typhoon signal no. 8 or above). All appointments scheduled before or during the affected hours will be cancelled. Patients need not to come for consultation. For appointments scheduled after the affected hours, it is at patients’ individual discretion to decide if they wish to come for consultation under the prevailing traffic and weather conditions.
- When typhoon signal no. 8 or above is cancelled at or before 2:00 p.m. during consultation hours-
- Appointments scheduled at or before 5:00 p.m. will be cancelled. Patients need not to come for consultation.
- For appointments scheduled between 5:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., it is at patients’ individual discretion to decide if they wish to come for consultation under the prevailing traffic and weather conditions. Patients should confirm the appointment with clinic receptionists before coming for consultation. If patients wish to cancel the appointment, please contact our clinic receptionists.
- When typhoon signal no. 8 or above is cancelled after 2:00 p.m. during consultation hours, all appointments will be cancelled; patients need not come for consultation.
When the Red Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued:
Before or during the consultation hours: clinics will operate as usual. Patients can come for consultation provided that it is permissible under the prevailing traffic and weather conditions. If patients wish to cancel the appointment, please contact clinic receptionists.
When the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued:
- Before consultation hours: Patients need not come for consultation.
- When the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is cancelled at or before 2:00 p.m.-
- Clinics will resume service after the affected hours (three hours after the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is cancelled). All appointments scheduled before or during the affected hours will be cancelled. Patients need not come for consultation. For appointments scheduled after the affected hours, it is at patients” individual discretion to decide if they wish to come for consultation under the prevailing traffic and weather conditions.
- Should patients find any difficulties in leaving the clinic due to poor weather or traffic conditions, the clinic will remain open as a shelter until the rain has eased or stopped and the danger of flooding has diminished.
- When the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is cancelled after 2:00 p.m.-
- Appointments scheduled from 3:00 p.m. will be cancelled. Patients need not come for consultation.
- During consultation hours: The clinic will operate as usual. It will be at the patients” individual discretion to decide if they wish to come for consultation under the prevailing traffic and weather conditions. If patients wish to cancel the appointment, please contact clinic receptionists.
